Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Text entered into a search tool is sent to the company that operates that tool so it can process the request and return any result it offers. Itasca County Court Docket does not keep or create a separate log of the name, court number, or other search term entered into a partner search field.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends an email, the message may be retained to respond and manage the correspondence. It is not shared outside the organization except when disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Like most websites, normal server operation collects technical information about a visit. This information helps operate, secure, and measure the resource.
- IP address and related network data
- Browser type, browser version, device type, and operating system
- Pages viewed and the duration of page activity
- Referring site information when supplied by the browser
- Dates and times associated with page requests
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and analytics tools may be used to understand aggregate traffic and page performance. A browser can be configured to block cookies, although some website functions may then behave differently. Analytics reports are used to evaluate general use rather than to assemble a court-record profile about a visitor.
What We Do With This Data
Technical and voluntarily supplied information is used for limited operating purposes.
- Maintain availability, performance, and security
- Route a submitted search request to the selected partner tool
- Understand aggregate use of content and navigation
- Diagnose and correct technical problems
- Support advertising that may be based on general activity or interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Itasca County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case records. It provides general routing information for official Itasca County court access. The original court record remains with Itasca County Court Administration and the Minnesota Judicial Branch systems that publish it. The resource is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and does not turn visitor information into consumer reports or third-party record files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes that appear on some pages. Information entered into those tools is governed by the provider’s own privacy policy, retention practice, and sharing rules. Those practices are outside the control of Itasca County Court Docket. Review the provider’s policy before submitting information to its service.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to official court portals, Court Administration pages, statewide case-search systems, legal resources, or third-party services. After a visitor leaves this resource, the destination’s privacy policy controls. Advertising partners may also conduct their own cross-site activity tracking through systems they operate.
Official court-record access in Minnesota is governed by the Minnesota Rules of Public Access to Records of the Judicial Branch, Rule 8 and related rules. Public-data access under Minn. Stat. §13.03, the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, is determined by the applicable government custodian.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited data may be handled by the service providers that perform ordinary website functions or by an authority acting under a valid legal requirement.
- Search partners that process a query entered in one of their tools
- Analytics providers used for traffic and performance measurement
- Advertising networks that serve material on the resource
- Government or law-enforcement authorities when a valid legal order requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures are used to protect the information collected for website operation. No internet-connected system can guarantee complete security, however, and no assurance is made that unauthorized access, interruption, or a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults. Personal information is not knowingly collected from people under 18. If an underage person has supplied personal information, contact information associated with the submission may be used to request its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may give a visitor rights to ask about personal information held in connection with this resource. Minnesota court-record and public-data requests are governed by the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act and the Judicial Branch access rules, not by this private policy. For ordinary information held by this resource, a visitor may request:
- A copy of information retained about that visitor
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion of information where retention is not required
- Opt-out from certain data-processing activities where available
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change as the resource, its providers, or legal requirements change. A revised version becomes effective when posted here. Review it periodically for the current privacy practices.
